Today was Junebug and my first day baking together. We are planning on baking cupcakes once a week and pie one other day.
For our first attempt we used a butter cake recipe that turned out delicious, but we filled the cups a little too full. Now we know for next time how full to fill the cups.
For our frosting we made a plain Italian Meringue Buttercream that turned out amazingly! June decided to make it blue and we used the only star tip I had to decorate it and it put WAY too much frosting on them. Another lesson learned.
All in all it was a great day. ! Can't wait until next week!
This is awesome Son. I absolutely love it. Where is my cupcake? Love you and JuneBug. What a wonderful time to spend together. You are such a good DADDY.
